Assess Build Chem Private Limited believes in providing the best of product systems to enhance and extend the life of concrete, steel and masonry structures. Our motto of providing “100% Protection” also extends to human life and the environment. Keeping in mind the safety of our applicators and end users who use and apply our product systems, we have devised a safety precaution system incorporated into our technical data sheets. A key to understanding this safety system and some general safety precautions are listed on this page.

Safety Symbols and Descriptions

Irritant, mildly toxic, can irritate eyes, ears, skin. This symbol is seen mostly on products containing cement, as it is an irritant. Eye and hand protection recommended.

Corrosive. Use suitable protection while using. This symbol is seen mostly in materials having extreme pH i.e. below 5 and over 9. Eye and Hand Protection is Mandatory.

Flammable, Keep Away from Sparks, Flames. This symbol is seen mostly with products containing solvents. Extreme care required in storage and handling.

General Safety Precautions

Assess Build Chem Private Limited believes in using the most sustainable and environmentally friendly materials available to make the use of our materials green and sustainable. However, these materials still do sometimes contain strong chemicals, solvents or materials that may pose a potential health hazard when used incorrectly. We recommend the following safety precautions be followed in principle:

• Read the technical data sheet carefully to fully understand the material, its properties, application methodologies and safety aspects.
• Do not use the materials in a manner other than what is prescribed, unless on consultation with our technical team.
• Contact us in case of queries, prior to use of the materials.
• Take suitable safety precautions at all times. Always wear protective goggles, safety shoes, masks and gloves.
• If inhaled / ingested, move immediately to fresh air. In case of skin or eye contact, flush immediately with water for 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes and call a physician.
• Some of our Material Systems, although based on low VOC materials, do contain solvents or similar strong chemicals. It is imperative, that the safety symbols on the technical data sheets are meticulously followed and paid attention to.
• In case of solvent based materials, do not store or use near sparks or open flames. Do not smoke in the vicinity of application. Use this material in a well-ventilated area away from sparks and open flames.
• Rags and equipment that are wet with product may be flammable. Clean up promptly after job is complete. Clean equipment with mineral spirits and allow to dry in a well-ventilated area.
• Maintain site decorum and follow all safety practices prescribed on site.
• Use Complete Packs of the materials and dispose the packaging safely according to local regulations.
• Local, state and federal regulations should be consulted for proper disposal and safety procedures.
• The materials should be applied adhering to principles of Civil Engineering and safety.
